Provided by YP.comLast year I bought a fresh turkey from them for Thanksgiving, but the producer delivered it almost a week ahead of time so I had to freeze my fresh turkey so it would be safe to cook on Thanksgiving. This year, I went in and found out they intend to do the same: deliver on 1/22 a full four days ahead of Thanksgiving. USDA and every other website I reviewed say 'do NOT eat a fresh turkey that has been stored for more than 2 days'. Here's the interesting thing: I told them this when I was in the store and no one cared. I heard someone else tell them the same when they were cancelling a fresh order because of the dates, and they were completely blown off (staff couldn't get them gone fast enough). Really? A "health food store" that doesn't care if they are subjecting their trusting customers to food borne poisons? Hmmmm..... the almight buck wins again - or is it just lazy apathy? Very uncool either way. I would think they would be concerned about THEIR OWN LIABILITY KNOWINGLY SELLING TURKEYS THAT ARE EXPIRED.

They may as well post a kids not allowed sign outside. I've had mixed results at this place 2 very good and 2 incredibly bad. Both bad experiences were when I had kids with me. Years ago I had my 2 year old with me and I accidentally broke a bottle of cod liver oil. I was pregnant at the time so a little extra clumsy and my son was contained in a cart. As if it wasn't embarrassing enough they asked me to pay for half the bottle...... Then last night myself and my two boys went in to get d3 and cod liver oil again. There is a huge selection so I took my time looking. Here and there I reminded the boys not to touch anything. Then an employee chimes in "yeah especially around the glass." Where I then commented "yeah I'm well aware of that." My boys didn't hurt a darn thing. I just don't appreciate getting my intelligence insulted like that. It was so rude and unnecessary. I still dropped $47 for the stuff I bought. I festered about it when I left and almost took it back. Instead I will go anywhere else or order online. I'll never set foot in this place again. I'm in the retail business and work for a great company who would never dream of treating people like this. And we value them and their children and don't treat them like vermen. If breaking bottles is a problem how about you put carpet or rugs on the vitamin area.
