The Iowa State Auditor's Office, governed by the State of Iowa, performs the audits of the financial operations of the state and local governments. The auditor's office operates an administration division that offers fiscal management, data processing, and audit report printing and mailing solutions. The division also is responsible for human resource management, personnel training and quality control operations. The Iowa State Auditor's Office s financial audit division reviews the annual financial reports of the state departments and agencies, as well as the audits of counties, cities and school districts. In addition, the auditor's office manages a performance investigation division that is responsible for conducting the performance audits of the state agencies and various programs they administer.
