- Engine RepairI work downtown and have been looking for a good, honest, repair shop. I recently took my car into Gary's and couldn't be more pleased. They are not the cheapest shop in town, but their rates are reasonable, and in my experience, the cheapest shop is usually a bad choice. They explained my problem clearly (an engine repair) and fixed it quickly. The owner and the mechanics are "good guys", and I will be bringing my other cars there! They gave me a ride to work and picked me back up later in the day, which made it convenient. I trust this shop! Thanks!
- Oil ChangeIf you tow a trailer, drive in the mountains, drive in dusty conditions, or frequently drive in stop-and-go traffic, you should change your oil more often. Short trips without letting your engine warm up can contaminate your oil and require more oil changes than average too. Head out to Dorsey Trailers to get more information related to trailer maintenance.

- Engine ReplacementDan took over after he retired last year, and if anything, the shop has gotten better. This shop is the best in Denver for a lot of reasons. Number one: Honesty. They simply refuse to sell you something that you don't need. Number two: Nobody likes to pay for auto repairs. Given this, Gary's is the bet value in town. They don't try to be the absolute cheapest place in Denver but their prices are very, very, reasonable, and Gary's offers great value. Number three: They are very friendly and explain the problems and repairs that they recommend completely, and treat my wife as respectfully as they treat me. I've had many repairs done over the years, including a recent total engine replacement done in 1996 Toyota 4 Runner, (I'm in love with that truck!) and I can honestly say that I have come away well satisfied each and every time.

- Brake Fluid ServiceUnfortunately, vehicle manufacturers have omitted brake fluid service from their service schedule. We suspect that this resulted from manufacturers trying to reduce the apparent cost of long-term vehicle maintenance in an attempt to make their products more appealing. This isn’t much of a concern for the first couple of years but with the struggling economy and many people choosing to keep their vehicles longer, brake fluid maintenance becomes important.
- Brake RepairYour car’s owner’s manual will provide a maintenance schedule designed to keep your brakes in good condition. Following it is the easiest way to avoid expense brake systems repairs and the potential for catastrophic brake systems failure. At the very least, you should have your brakes inspected every year.
