There is no doubt that, You Are Our Family. Baca's Funeral Chapels was established in 1975 succeeding the Wheeler Mortuary that had been servicing families in Deming since the early 1940's. The Mahoney Funeral Home, that had been serving southwestern New Mexico since before the turn of the century also from Deming, was brought into our circle in 1984. Three years later Heather Mortuary in Lordsburg became a part of Baca's Flagship and in 1987 Baca's of Silver City was opened to further expand our family. In 1990 Baca's of Las Cruces became a reality and since then we have been able to provide a full line of services by enhancing our facilities with on-site crematories and a cemetery memorial granite company. You, our family, are the most important part of our business. With that thought in mind if there are final arrangement needs that you would like to discuss, we will accommodate those needs. We take great pride in paying attention to every small detail allowing our grieving families to attend to larger and more important decisions at a time of death. Today's families have different views for services at a time of death. We will help with traditional, cremation, memorial services, the receiving or forwarding of human remains and we can provide the state of the art in cemetery memorials, second to none! One phone call to our facilities will begin the process of fulfilling your requests. A full selection of quality caskets, outer burial containers, urns, memorial printing, granite or bronze memorials are but a few of the merchandise items available to you at Baca's. We do what we do because we care for you. You are a very important part of our community. Our establishments have been created with an atmosphere of peace and beauty. They are comfortable, spacious facilities with well appointed art and quality furnishings. We take great pride in our funeral service motor equipment. Our archives of deaths in the area date back to the turn of the century and are, no doubt, the largest and most complete to be found. Beyond the calming atmosphere our staff has been instilled with the value of courteous and knowledgeable service. That help is of no charge and is handled in the strictest confidence. Our in-house notaries are readily available as well.
