Having moved to Delaware from Jersey I thought I said goodbye to good Italian food and pizza. Luckily I only live around the corner from La Matesina I get take out at least once a week. I haven't had anything there that wasn't great.

Not much on atmosphere, but some of the best pasta and pizza I ever had! Worth the trip, lucky if you're local.

GREAT Italian experience WITH A TERRIFIC VARIETY of menu items. Chef Gabriel will also cook to order. My favorite is pasta with shrimp & scallops garnished with sun-dried tomato and asparagus in a garlic and oil which comes with fresh salad and garlic bread...yummy!Also- Don't miss out on one of the best deals on pizza-Wednesday night $5.00 with one extra topping!

Originally from Philadelphia, I am a snob when it comes to hoagies and cheese steaks. So, when I tell you that the freshness of the rolls, the flavors of the meats and the condiments put together perfectly add up to a wonderfully delicious meal, you must believe me. The cooks cater to your desires and have such a flare in their preparation. The service is friendly and they come to know you and your order after a time or two. The prices are reasonable and take-out is efficient and quick. I haven't tried their pizza or pasta dishes, but I do see them flying out the door when I visit. Give it a try and get a sub you won't forget.
