Operational for more than 15 years, the Boys and Girls Club of Volusia/ Flagler County is a nonprofit organization that operates more than 10 clubs located throughout Volusia and Flagler counties in Florida. It serves more than 2,000 youths between the ages of 8 and 18. The organization provides programs in the areas of leadership development, education and career exploration, financial literacy and recreation. It additionally offers health and life skills, arts, sports and fitness programs. Boys and Girls Club of Volusia/ Flagler County is a part of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, which is a national network of more than 4,000 neighborhood-based facilities with over 4.8 million youths. Founded in 1906 and headquartered in Atlanta, it offers guidance-oriented character development programs on a daily basis for children between the ages of 6 and 18. The Boys and Girls Club of Volusia/ Flagler County maintains a location in DeLand, Fla.
