The Walton County Clerk s Office is a part of the government of Walton County in Florida. It is responsible for maintaining various records, including deeds, leases, agreements, mortgages, judgments, bills of sale and claims of lien, as well as the certificates of discharge from military service. The office keeps a record of the proceedings in county courts. The Walton County Clerk s Office is also responsible for mortgage foreclosure sales. In addition, it collects tourist development tax. The county government operates through several departments and divisions, including administration, construction management, emergency response, finance, corrections, human resources, public works, planning and development, and parks and recreation.
