Omelet seemed bland, but I was okay with it, much better in Johnson Creek. Later, my friend found hair in her food and had lost her appetite after hardly eating anything. She had to be to work in under an hour and agreed to meet with me at the restaurant. The waitress offered us "another scoop", but that was it. I spoke to a manager and she said that we could order something else, but she wouldn't strike it from our receipt. My friend didn't have time to order and wait for another dish and certainly didn't want "another scoop" of hair noodles so we left our food, paid full price and left. If you prefer hair in your food and bad customer service, Pinecone is the place for you. Otherwise, skip this one. Pro-Tip for Pinecone managers: Striking $5 off a bill because you messed up won't destroy your revenue, losing long-time customers by making them pay for other people's hair-food will.

I have been traveling to Chicago and Valparaiso for dog shows for many years, I make ita point to stop at this restaurant. They have a T-Bone to die for. Huge portions! This is the kind of place I like. I am so sick of all the franchise restaurants like Perkins, Denny's, Cracker Barrel. Every portion of food you get is the same. This is an eating experience!! Also, have a GREAT bakery, if you get there early enough. Truck stop or not, this is the best place to eat!!
