The Gemaire Group, established in 1969 as a single warehouse in Boca Raton, Fla., now boasts a distribution chain of nearly 40 showroom branches in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia and Alabama. In addition to being the sole Rheem distributor for Florida, North Carolina, Virginia and Alabama, the company holds distribution rights to Frigidaire, Tappan and Maytag equipment in Florida and Alabama. It features heating, ventilation and air conditioning related equipment, parts and supplies that play an important role in its sales distribution network to licensed air conditioning contractors. Since 1989, the company has been a subsidiary of Watsco, one of the largest distributors of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration products in the United States. Watsco operates from nearly 400 locations in more than 30 states and Puerto Rico, and serves approximately 38,000 contractor customers. The Gemaire Group has a location in Deerfield Beach, Fla.
