With its campus located in Deep River, Conn., John Winthrop Middle School has a student population of more than 350 in grades seven and eight. The school provides classes in several subjects, such as art, world languages, physical education, computer applications, science, English, social studies, language arts and special education. The school has a library that provides an online catalog and offers students the opportunity to access library materials and related resources on the Web. John Winthrop Middle School has a parent-teacher organization that funds several cultural, social and academic programs and events. In addition, the school offers guidance and counseling services to its students.
