Great customer service . Friendly staff helped get are fish tank started and the fish are doing great.

My family and I have purchased several animals from southside pet center and all have been healthy . We have bought hamsters , rabbits ,guiniea pigs and fish . We are even considering purchasing a snake . They have always been helpful especially when setting up are fish tank. They talked us through step by step and now we have a really nice tank full of tropical fish. THANKS SOUTHSIDE PET.

I love Southside pet s grooming dept. they always treat my dogs with the upmost respect and always have them looking fresh and clean . They are always done in short time and don't have to stay all day like some of the other groomers . My mother-in law also takes her dog their and she has always been very pleased.

Cherri is the worst and rudest groomer in Decatur! My experience there will be the last and I’m warning all animal owners do not take your pet to this location. My dog, Maxwell who sees her frequently had to literally be dragged into her shop. I noticed this behavior from the last visit as well. So like any normal dog owner I questioned her as to why he’s acting like this! The first words that came from her mouth were: “You do not have to bring him anymore”. She became very defensive and rude! I KNOW for a fact that she has mistreated my dog while he was in her care! Maxwell has a new groomer and surprisingly she has taken previous unsatisfied customers from Southside that reported the same thing…what a coincidence!So for all you animal owners that love your pet and look at them as your child, like I do...then I’m warning you DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO SOUTHSIDE! the people that own and run this pet shop are amazing. they know EVERYTHING about aquariums and getting everything started properly. they have one of the best selection of fish so you are sure you are getting exactly what you want. very good prices on everything as well. great to do business with and will always be a loyal customer

Rude and NOT customers friendly unless you count your $$$$.I would not spend my hard earned money with this business.

We bought a Rabbit from here for my daughter for Easter at a high price of $50. She only had it a week before it started having diarrhea to which the next day it died. I was extremely baffled at how quickly it went down and my kids were so upset. We called the pet store and all they had to say was "We don't know what you did to the rabbit the minute you took it out of here." TERRIBLE customer service! Since I'm supposed to tell them how to do their job as is written in "Don't Hate-Articulate" I will say, even if their policy is not to replace or compensate is some way, the last thing they should do is blame the customer for the death of the animal. I can honestly say, that we cared for the bunny the best that we could and it would have been nice for them to offer some advice or suggestion or even, I'm sorry for the loss of your Pet. If you are buying for your children, you may want to purchase somewhere else where they at least have a 2 week or 30 day death policy. Good luck to you.
