Established in 1988, Macon Resources is a private and nonprofit agency located in Decatur, Ill. It provides various comprehensive rehabilitative, training program and support services to individuals and their families who are suffering from developmental and mental disorders. It also offers support programs that are designed to promote growth, independence and self-worth for children and adults with physical disabilities. Its residential services provide public transportation, a public library, parks and recreation facilities. Its Group Day Respite Center assists children of working and single parent families and guardians. It additionally offers vocational programs to assist individuals in learning about work-related abilities, interests and preferences.
