The Decatur Correctional Center is a part of the Illinois Department of Corrections. The center serves the medical, social, psychological and educational needs of female offenders. It has a capacity of more than 490 inmates. The Decatur Correctional Center offers instruction in English and math to inmates who aspire to enroll in colleges. The center also provides courses that focus on topics related to commercial custodian and computer and food service technologies. It offers anger management and lifestyle redirection services. The Decatur Correctional Center administers the Wells Residential Substance Abuse Treatment program. The center additionally provides religious services, as well as tutorial classes.
