Based in Decatur, Ala., LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is a blood bank supplying blood to local hospitals across Florida, Georgia and Alabama. It provides a range of services supporting ongoing and emerging blood and transfusion-related activities. Its services include laboratory testing of blood, therapeutic apheresis, plasma exchange and platelet depletion. LifeSouth Community Blood Centers has over 30 donor centers and conducts more than 1,000 blood drives each month. It partners with several companies in its community initiatives, including Atlanta Hawks, Rocket, Heals and more.
