Lead-Deadwood Elementary School, located in Deadwood, S.D., provides the social, academic and cultural needs of students. Governed by the Lead-Deadwood School District, it teaches classes from kindergarten through grade five, and enrolls more than 350 students. Its curriculum includes speech and reading, art and music, physical education, language arts, English, social studies, math, and technology and computer studies. Park Elementary School follows its curriculum and textbooks to state standards and district guidelines. The school provides a wide range of program and activities, including school nurse, math and reading specialists, parent-teacher organization, band, student council, lunch service, field trips, and athletic activities.
