Established in 1902, the Children s Home Society of Florida is an organization that protects children s rights throughout the United States. The organization offers family and individual counseling and child abuse prevention and intervention services. It also assists pregnant teens and first-time mothers, as well as residential and group homes. The Children s Home Society of Florida additionally provides mentoring, family preservation, adoption and foster care services. It has operations in more than 10 divisions in Florida and a staff of nearly 2,000 employees. The organization offers temporary emergency shelter and long-term residential care services to children throughout the state. The Children s Home Society of Florida serves approximately 100,000 children and families every year. It is a member of the Child Welfare League of America and is accredited by the Council on Accreditation.
