Located in Dayton, Ohio, Northwood Elementary serves students in prekindergarten through sixth grade. The school has a staff of specialists, including Title I, resource room, physical education, music, library, and speech and language teachers. It offers a phonics-based reading program that gives instruction in reading comprehension, phonics, writing, spelling and grammar. The school offers a variety of sports activities, such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, softball and track. It also provides various extracurricular activities, such as band, choir, chess club. Northwood Elementary also offers before- and after-school care programs for kindergarten students. The school is a part of Northmont City Schools.
