Founded more than 16 years ago, it provides services through a contract with the state department of job and family services. The agency serves more than 430,000 members in Ohio and is recognized as one of the leading Medicaid-managed care plan providers in the United States, by Interstudy, a research firm specializing in managed health care. CareSource is serviced by CareSource Management Group that provides a full range of services for the administration of public sector health care programs. It serves Medicaid members in various regions, such as Ashland, Carroll, Homes, Portage, Richland, Stark and Summit in Ohio.
