Dr. Peters has a special interest in the treatment of trauma in children and adults, including trauma from abuse/domestic violence, accidents, and death of a loved one. She is also skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of mood problems (depression, Bipolar Disorder), anxiety disorders and attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder. Dr. Peters often uses medications to treat children and adults, but also uses talk therapy (cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic psychotherapy) to help patients identify the sources of their difficulties, and work collaboratively to restore them to an optimum level of functioning. She would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and provide you/your child with skilled and compassionate mental health care.
