Dr. Khatami is a board certified specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. She received her certificate in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics from the University of Rochester, New York and her PhD in craniofacial biology from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. After completing her PhD program, Dr. Khatami moved to Fort Lauderdale and joined the Department of Orthodontics at Nova Southeastern University. She currently serves as an associate professor, mentoring orthodontic residents throughout their postgraduate program.
