  David C. Waterman joined Lane & Waterman in 2020. His practice areas include civil litigation, white collar criminal defense, government regulatory and compliance, and appeals. Prior to joining Lane & Waterman, David spent more than four years serving as a federal prosecutor at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida in the Appellate and Criminal Divisions.

• Money Laundering
  Jeffrey B. Lang, a former United States Attorney and an FBI Agent, leads Lane & Waterman’s White Collar Criminal Defense practice. He vigorously defends individuals, corporations and other businesses entities in government investigations and prosecutions alleging economic crimes or other financially-motivated wrongdoing. He also has a wealth of experience in guiding clients through handling Grand Jury subpoenas, Civil Investigative Demands, Search Warrants and other government requests and demands for information. He does so ensuring the interests of Lane & Waterman clients remain fully protected. He is well-seasoned in defending matters under the False Claims Act and bank fraud statutes, disputes surrounding government contracts and a wide variety of conduct by corporate executives, managers and other personnel who find themselves under investigation for fraud, tax matters, money laundering, environmental issues, bribery, kickbacks, false statements, misappropriation and a host of other alleged economic offenses.

  In addition to an active business practice, Terry is active in commercial litigation, including business contract disputes, banking matters, bankruptcy adversary proceedings, administrative hearings and eminent domain. He acted as co-counsel for the plaintiff classes in numerous class action lawsuits, including the Allied Mutual Insurance Company policyholders in the Allied Mutual DeFacto Demutualization class action and Iowa farmers in the Chubb Rain Insurance class action. She has been active in the state of Iowa as a past member of the Iowa Board of Chiropractic Examiners and Iowa Seventh Judicial District Nominating Commission. Diane has also been active in the local community, serving previously on the Iowa River Bend Transit as not only a Board member, but also past Secretary, Vice President, and Chairman of the Board. She has also served as Treasurer, Secretary and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Putnam Museum and Science Center. She is currently a member of the St. Ambrose University Planned Giving Advisory Council and a member of the Board of Directors of the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center.
