Royle Elementary School, built in 1948, is an educational institution that employs a staff of more than 60 full-time teachers, paraprofessionals, custodians, instructional aides, librarians, and art and music professionals. In addition, its staff includes a psychologist, nurse, physical education instructors, and speech and language pathologists. Royle Elementary School supports the Schools Together Are Responding (S.T.A.R.) program, which prevents bullying and enhances social and life transition skills. The school, located in Darien, Conn., is a part of Darien Public Schools, which has a combined enrollment of over 4,000 students. Royle Elementary School teaches nearly 400 students in kindergarten through grade five.
