  A native of Las Vegas, Dr. Kerwar received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University. She worked in advertising for numerous years before deciding to further her education and earn a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. While at Tufts, Dr. Kerwar served on the National Executive Board for the Student Professionalism and Ethics Association (SPEA). During her senior year, she was awarded the Dr. Justin Lee Altshuler Family Prize for Ethics and the Senior Award for Outstanding Leadership and Merit. Upon graduation, Dr. Kerwar completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at NYU/Lutheran Medical Center. During her residency, she worked in a community health center serving the LGBTQ+ community in Boston.
