  December 2015 - Represented a client charged with First Degree Murder, Attempted Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery. After a two day trial, the jury returned verdicts of Not Guilty on all counts.
• Misdemeanors
  March 2017 - Represented a client charged with aggravated malicious wounding (carrying a possible life sentence). The Court granted a motion to strike and convicted the client only of assault and battery, a misdemeanor.

  October 2015 - Represented a client charged with two counts of first degree murder and eleven other charges. The jury rejected the murder charges and convicted only of voluntary manslaughter.

The firm has organized and provides ongoing legal advice to numerous medical practices, corporations and businesses in Southside Virginia. The firm serves as local Right-of-Way Counsel for the Virginia Department of Transportation, in addition to handling civil litigation and workers' compensation defense for the Virginia Attorney General’s Office on a local basis. The firm members engage in extensive practice before various administrative agencies, including the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission, the Virginia Employment Commission, and the Social Security Administration. Mr. Gammon is a trial attorney, concentrating his practice in handling workers' compensation claims, defending employers, self-insureds and insurance companies, as well as, defending employers, businesses, municipalities and insurers in automobile, premises liability and other liability claims in civil litigation. In addition, Brent's practice includes work in divorce/domestic relations, debt collection, business law, eminent domain and traffic defense.
