Founded in 1952, The Arc of Quinebaug Valley is a nonprofit human service agency that supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Connecticut. The agency offers a variety of retirement, employment and educational services. In addition, it provides a range of horticultural, after-school and residential programs. The Arc of Quinebaug Valley has partnerships with senior centers and other agencies. Its horticultural program includes several products, such as annuals, perennials, holiday plants and floral arrangements, as well as specialty and gift items. Additionally, the agency advocates for legislative changes at the local, state and federal levels. It is a chapter of The Arc of the United States, which is one of the largest volunteer organizations in the United States.
