Preferred Utilities designs and manufactures fuel oil handling equipment for boiler putout and diesel generator applications. It is one of the divisions of the Preferred Utilities Manufacturing Corporation. Located in Danbury, Conn., the company offers both standard and custom-engineered solutions. It provides automatic fuel oil transfer pump sets, automatic fuel oil filtration sets, fuel oil transfer pumps and day tank sets, anti-syphon valves, vent bricks and horizontal spill containers. Preferred Utilities provides a complete range of fuel oil components, including leak and level switches, vent line and oil fill line components, and fuel valves, strainers and gauges. Its products include tank high-alarm switches, high-liquid level alarms, leak detector switches, pump set leak detector switches, liquid-level switches and fusomatic electric cut-off switches.
