General Practitioners

• Pediatric Care
  To ensure the health and well being of your child, we follow the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) schedule for well visits ( https://www.healthychildren.org/English/family-life/health-management/Pages/Well-Child-Care-A-Check-Up-for-Success.aspx ). At each well visit we will assess your child’s growth and development. Vision checks are done starting at age 1 through digital screening, or manually with the eye chart for ages 8 and above.  Iron and lead levels are done routinely for ages 1 and 2, and fingerstick hemoglobin levels will be done at every physical thereafter. We also routinely perform urine testing and depression screens on all teens, as well as post-partum depression screenings on moms for the first 6 months of age..
• Emergency Care
  Providers are available by phone after hours. Most concerns can be handled in the office to avoid the Emergency Room, like rashes, vomiting and diarrhea, or low grade fevers. (Please see our list of emergencies required immediate medical attention here ).
• Immunizations
  Here at Childcare Associates we are strong proponents of vaccinating all children and follow the Center for Disease Control (CDC) vaccination schedule. www.cdc.gov/vaccines/schedules/easy-to-read/

Psychiatrists

• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  Being a medical home, we have the privilege of being a part of all aspects of your child’s life, whether at home or at school. We help with any special services your child may need. This includes the coordination of care with schools, as well as specialists for ADHD and other emotional and/or behavioral disorders.

Endocrinologist

• Endocrinology
  Dr. Mani joined has been a partner at Childcare Associates since 1992. She is board certified with the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Pediatric Academy. Dr.Mani attended Stanley Medical College in Chennai, India. She completed her residency in general pediatrics at Lincoln Medical Center in Bronx, New York and did a pediatric fellowship in endocrinology at  at New York Cornell Medical Center in New York.
