Umer Hashmi, MD, is a dedicated family medicine physician who has been in practice since 2019. Dr. Hashmi completed his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Stony Brook University in New York, and earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten. Following graduation, Dr. Hashmi completed his residency in family medicine at Houston Methodist Hospital. Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Hashmi focuses on preventative screenings and chronic disease management, and specializes in procedures such as nexplanon placement, wart treatments, skin tag removal, and skin biopsies. He also treats hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, obesity, asthma, COPD, and muscle injuries. Outside of work, Dr. Hashmi enjoys playing basketball and spending time with his wife. He is also fluent in Urdu.
