General Info
With high-quality made-to-order burgers, a ‘come as you are’ environment and a strange reverence for Chuck Norris, there’s no place else quite like Twisted Root. Way back before ‘gourmet burgers’ was a thing, Chefs Jason Boso & Quincy Hart decided to build a restaurant around half-pound, fresh ground burgers with a menu that allowed customers to build their own burgers with a list of crazy and inventive toppings. The two met in culinary school, after jobs in stock brokerages and telephone line repair. After paying their dues working the line at The Four Seasons & Pappas Bros, Jason & Quincy finally opened Twisted Root Burger Co. in the Deep Ellum neighborhood of Dallas, Texas in 2006. Twisted Root appeared on the second season of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives with Guy Fieri (2009) and suddenly Twisted Root was a dining destination in Dallas. While Twisted Root Burger Co. has seen incredible growth, Jason & Quincy have stuck to their roots and their senses of humor, using a hands-on approach to high-quality, fresh food in an casual atmosphere with tons of personality.

Great, incredible burgers. Atmosphere is good and I love the way they announce your order is ready. You can be anyone from Marilyn Monroe to Madonna!
I have never had anything like it! Sweet potato chips and specialty burgers to die for. And the shakes, well you have to try one for yourself... You will not be disappointed!!!
Absolutly wonderful! Friends of ours told us to try the Twisted Root, and we can't thank them enough! I had the buffalo burger and the sweet potato chips, and my hubby had the peppercorn burger and onion rings. Both were fantastic! We'll certainly be back to the Twisted Root very soon!!
The little hole in the wall place in Deep Ellum is so worth the trip. They have specialty burgers that looked good, I chose a normal cheeseburger and it may well be the best burger I have ever put in my mouth. They have odd hours, so check the site before you go. 11-2:30p for lunch everyday, but dinner hours are different depending on the day.
