Restland Funeral Home was built in 1957, and a 30,000-square-foot, full-service facility, capable of assisting families both locally and throughout the world. The funeral home includes 22 staterooms and a 250-seat chapel.Restland was founded in 1925. In 1935, George Young was named general manager. Six years later, he acquired full ownership of the cemetery. He developed Restland as a beautifully landscaped park with the utilization of in-ground memorial markers. Restland Memorial Park has had over 125,000 interments/entombments and has over 300,000 property owners. Restland Cemetery contains in excess of 375 acres, with additional acreage available for future expansion. The park features include Wildwood Chapel, the Abbey Mausoleum and Chapel, and the Chapel Gardens Mausoleum. Special sections have been developed for veterans, infants, and various religions. The magnificent Whispering Waters includes a mausoleum and garden located on the southwest corner of the cemetery.
