The company sells and leases propane, propane supplies and equipment to retail consumers that include residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural customers under a variety of regional brand names. In addition to its retail business, the company also operates a natural gas storage business and provides wholesale propane supply, price risk management and distribution services to customers throughout the United States and Canada. The Inergy family of companies includes two separate, publicly traded securities on the NASDAQ stock exchange; Inergy, or NRGY, and Inergy Holdings, also known as NRGP, which provides investors with two distinct ways to help invest in Inergy s objectives.
