General Info
The DiCarlo family has been in the grocery store business for over 50 years with Jimmy’s Food Store opening in August 1966. After starting to work in the store as teenagers, brothers Mike and Paul continue to work together and run the store. Selling housemade sauces, sausages, meatballs, lasagnas and pizzas, the store has become a favorite among the Native Italians, Italian Americans, and New York Italians. We are pleased, that several leading restaurants in the Dallas serve “Jimmy’s Sausage” on their menu. Jimmy’s stocks only Italian wines and has every region in Italy represented. We are proud to host Italian vineyard owners and winemakers from throughout Italy in our Circolo del Vino (wine room) at seated wine tastings/dinners.The DiCarlo family has been in the grocery store business for over 50 years with Jimmy’s Food Store opening in August 1966. Great food selection and their deli is amazing. They supply meats to some local restaurants. There's seating in the back. Only negatives are the neighborhood and the fact that they have slow service sometimes.
its a great place. everything yoi want is here.i drive all the way from louisiana just to shop.good sausage cheese and the deli magnificent
We love this place. It is so unique to this crazy cookie cutter city! A small Italian NY deli feel, great import products as well as the meat and cheese counter. They make their own sausage, desserts. And if you want to have a great meal and make everyone think you have slaved all day preparing it! Go get their ravioli, manicotti, lasagna, or meatballs! Don't forget the homemade sauce! And their frozen pizza dough for $2 bucks is a steal! Their in-house sandwiches are deliciouso! Although the cuban sandwich is terrific, their muffalata and Italian Stallion sub are awesome! And you can get ones large enough to feed 4 people! They usually have an informal wine tasting every Saturday. This place is one of the best kept secrets in Dallas, and who knows who you might run into there...it is certainly people in "the know" who frequent this gem of a place.
From our first visit to Jimmy's, we discovered a quaint atmosphere, excellent service, reasonable prices & lots to chose from. Did I mention the inviting scents of fresh vegetables, meats, cheese, coffees & candies as you enter the store adding to the old world charm of Jimmy's? If you haven't been to Jimmy's, you haven't lived!! :)
A NY style Italian grocery in the middle of Dallas, Texas. Great foods, wines, and hard to find items are available here. Great deli with the "Best Sandwich in Dallas", the Cuban. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
