The Lake June Head Start Center is a part of HEAD START of Greater Dallas, which is a nonprofit organization that offers social and educational programs to children. HEAD START of Greater Dallas employs nutrition specialists, family advocate and bilingual family advocates, cooks, health assistants, mental health professionals and special services aides. Its partners include the Calumet Community Center, Alliance for North Texas Healthy and Effective Marriages, Baylor University, Baylor Dietetic Program, Big Thought, Brookhaven Community College, Cedar Valley College, Child Protective Services and Dallas Center for Developmentally Disabled. The Lake June Head Start Center serves more than 150 children, and it is located in Dallas.
