Established in 1912, Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas has a membership of more than 42,000 girls and over 15,000 adults. The agency operates the Adopt-a-Nursing Home program to serve residents in long-term care facilities. It offers assistance with the development of personal growth, courage, confidence and leadership skills. Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas provides developmental programs for nearly 14,000 girls from low-income families. The agency offers summer day camps that include various recreational activities, such as swimming, cooking and riding. It provides food, clothing and feeding assistance services for disadvantaged people. Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas provides Daisy, Brownie, Junior, and Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts programs. The agency organizes fundraising events that offer financial assistance to program participants. It maintains a service center location in Dallas.
