- Nuclear MedicineBUMC’s Nuclear Medicine department is also a regional referral center for a number of specialized studies not performed at most community hospitals. This division provides supervision for ARA’s other sites of nuclear medicine imaging and therapy, including Baylor Medical Center at Waxahachie, Baylor Imaging Center at Mesquite, and Texas Oncology Diagnostic Services in the Collins building of BUMC.
- MammographyClinical duties will include all diagnostic imaging modalities: interpreting body CT, X-ray, Ultrasound and MRI, and mammography as well as performing basic fluoroscopy studies and procedures
- Computed TomographyThe Nuclear Medicine and PET division of ARA comprises a group of seven Fellowship-trained physicians. The central hub of our nuclear medicine practice is the Nuclear Medicine department of the Baylor University Medical Center, a full-service department that provides a high volume of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for both inpatients and outpatients. The department regularly performs nuclear medicine imaging such as all routine planar and single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) studies, including nuclear cardiology studies.
- ChemotherapyAt ARA, we share our oncologic imaging knowledge in various educational settings, such as our own Fellowship program. Our program exposes accepted Fellows to a wide variety of clinical pathology that makes them highly sought-after team members in medical practices around the world. We also make it a priority to participate in oncology-related research, including liver tumors studies and chemotherapy research.
- Interventional RadiologyVascular and interventional radiology represents the latest in technologies that promote optimal health outcomes for patients using minimally invasive approaches to diagnosis and treatment. The subspecialty of vascular-interventional radiology, with its emphasis on cutting-edge technologies that focus on minimizing impact, recovery time, and pain for patients is a welcome addition to our family of diagnostic and surgical procedures.
- NeurosurgeryAs with all our subspecialty divisions, we incorporate a team approach. In this case, we offer collaboration with specialists from the departments of neurosurgery, neurology, otorhinolaryngology, vascular surgery, and orthopedic spinal surgery.
