- Dental ExaminationCustomer/patient service is the heartbeat of Dallas Laser Dentistry. We also sustain healthy, eye-catching smiles among our patients throughout the Metroplex, east Texas (and beyond) with preventative dentistry. If the patient experience is the beating heart of our practice, then the routine professional cleaning and oral exam is the backbone of comfortable, stress-free and fear-free preventive dental care that really works to protect your teeth, gums, and mouth from deteriorization.
- X-raysThe first step after deciding to move ahead with Invisalign® is having a digital 3-D laser scan of your mouth using our Itero scanner so your custom aligners can be made. We’ll also take some other photos and panoramic x-rays of your entire mouth. After starting treatment, you will need to wear your aligners as much as possible, removing them only to eat, brush, and floss. Each set of aligners will be worn for about one week – each set brings your teeth closer to their final position. Most patients go through 18 – 30 sets of aligners in about 4.5 – 8 months before their teeth are properly aligned, but the number of aligners and the total time will vary for each patient. After completion of treatment, you should expect to wear a retainer each night to prevent your teeth from drifting and undoing the treatment.
- Oral Cancer ScreeningIf you experience any of the above symptoms, you must see a doctor or dentist who can evaluate the area and determine if cancer is possibly present. This is often referred to as an oral cancer screening.
- Teeth CleaningAll patients, regardless of age and needs, can benefit from prevention through routine, six-month dental checkups. These visits involve one of our dentists examining your mouth for potential problems and our hygienists cleaning the teeth. By staying on top of these potential problems, we detect and resolve them early – before they lead to costly and traumatic damage. Our hygienists use professional tools and techniques to clean your teeth and the gumline during your checkup. Plaque is constantly forming on your teeth, and removing all dental plaque with a standard toothbrush and floss alone is impossible. Plus, once plaque has hardened, it is stubborn and requires removal during professional dental cleanings.

- Dental SealantsAt Dallas Laser Dentistry of Dallas, Texas, Drs. Mary Swift and Morgan Petty work with patients in the community to provide them with preventative solutions to improve and maintain healthy smiles. This includes certain proactive steps, such as the application of dental sealants. Dental sealants are an excellent way for patients of all ages to reduce the risk of cavities, especially in the deep grooves of the molars near the back of the smile.
- FillingsPatients of the Dallas, Texas area who are considering ways to address areas of minor decay may find an excellent solution to be that of tooth-colored fillings. Tooth-colored fillings are the best answer for small cavities. In the past, and still today, many dentists used silver amalgam fillings – we have never offered silver amalgam fillings during our 25+ years of dentistry. Instead, we always offered composite fillings that have several benefits, making them a more desirable choice. Drs. Mary Swift and Morgan Petty of Dallas Laser Dentistry encourage patients to learn more about the right solution for their dental health needs.
- Resin CompositeFirst and foremost, an examination appointment is made, during which our dentists will utilize digital x-rays to find decay – if minor decay is detected on tooth surfaces composite resin fillings are best. Then, the tooth or teeth are prepared for the filling. This means that the decay is removed and the area is cleaned. Once the tooth is ready, our dentists will choose a shade of composite resin that closely matches your natural tooth color. The resin is then placed in the cavity or on the tooth surface and shaped to match your bite. A specialized dental light is used to harden the resin, and then the filling is polished for a natural-looking finish.
- VeneersLumineers are one of the niche solutions for replacing visually marred enamel. Lumineers, and the more well-known dental veneers, are used to cover the front of teeth that have become stained or simply do not have the shine or the whiteness they once did. Lumineers, like dental veneers, are an extremely thin strip of porcelain that is placed over your naturally occurring teeth. These ultra-thin strips of porcelain can augment your teeth and make them look like there is no damage, no stains, and that they are perfectly formed and shaped. For this reason, Lumineers, like porcelain dental veneers, can be used to –
- CrownsGetting dental crowns typically takes two appointments. Sometimes, if the patient wants to start immediately and the dentist is available, the diagnosis visit can be expanded to begin the process. After numbing the area the tooth will be prepared for the crown. This involves removing any damaged or decayed tissue and shaping the tooth. Once the tooth is prepared, a 3D digital laser scan of the tooth and gums will be made. This digital file will be used by our professional lab techs to create a model of your tooth and to fabricate the crown in the lab. After the scan, we then create a “temporary” crown out of resin that is placed on your prepared tooth and secured with temporary cement – this allows you to eat normally and not have a gap in your smile while we await the permanent crown’s creation by the lab.
- BridgesDental bridges are commonly used to replace one or even several missing teeth. They are usually made of porcelain or ceramic and are attached to the existing teeth on either side of the space left by the missing tooth. Dental bridges can be used to restore both the function and the appearance of your smile.
- Dental BondingDental bonding is a popular and routine cosmetic treatment that can improve your smile’s appearance. Drs. Mary Swift and Morgan Petty of Dallas, Texas, help patients who visit Dallas Laser Dentistry learn about the many cosmetic treatments available to enhance the smile and address common imperfections that may make patients self-conscious about how they look.

- Deep CleaningSee your dentist regularly – Get a check-up and cleaning at least twice a year. If you have or have had periodontal disease, your dentist will recommend specific treatments and then more frequent visits to prevent the disease from progressing further. HAVE THE TREATMENT, SUCH AS A DEEP CLEANING, YOUR DENTIST RECOMMENDS DONE AT LEAST ONCE!
- DenturesIf you have lost teeth, or even a single tooth, whether from an injury, tooth decay, or gum disease, you’re not the only one! Losing teeth can be a big blow to your confidence and make eating and speaking difficult, no matter what your age. But there’s no need to worry! Dentures and partial dentures can help restore the function and appearance of your smile.
- OverdenturesOverdentures also eliminate the need for periodic adjustments to the denture. Since conventional dentures are not rooted in the jaw, they do not provide stimulation to the supportive bone. Just as muscles can atrophy during prolonged bedrest, the supporting bone in the jaw can atrophy or shrink. As this destructive process occurs, patients may notice that their regular dentures no longer fit well. The denture must then be adjusted (relined or rebased) or replaced entirely to restore and sustain the proper fit that ensures comfort and healthy function.
- Dental ImplantsOur dentists, Drs Mary Swift and Morgan Petty empower individuals with trusted knowledge about options well-suited to their needs and preferences. - OrthodonticsWhat’s the best way to assess if you’re a good candidate for Invisalign orthodontics, and how much of an improvement Invisalign will make to your smile?
- Invisalign OrthodonticsInvisalign® is primarily used when your teeth are crowded, particularly lower front teeth. This crowding makes it very difficult to properly clean the teeth and remove the bacteria, which can lead to gingivitis and then periodontitis – gum disease. Gum disease has been proven to significantly increase the risk of heart disease and stroke. By straightening those teeth you’ll increase your chances of living longer, plus look great for the rest of your life!
- BracesIf you want straight teeth but don’t want metal braces in your mouth for years we have a solution – Invisalign Clear Aligners, which will straighten your teeth in half the time of traditional braces! Anyone who suffered through the pain and embarrassment of metal braces will wish they’d instead chosen the comfortable, removable, and invisible Invisalign® aligners instead. Dr. Mary Swift and Dr. Morgan Petty of Dallas Laser Dentistry is an Invisalign® Gold Providers, a level that is normally reserved for orthodontists and has done hundreds of Invisalign® cases from simple to complex. Drs. Swift and Petty also uses Invisalign® cosmetically to help patients achieve the beautiful, healthy smile they have always wanted with a series of removable aligners that safely and comfortably move the teeth into a better position. The aligners are worn for about 22 hours each day and are removed primarily to eat, brush, and floss.
- Teeth WhiteningLaser teeth whitening is a popular and affordable cosmetic dental procedure that uses a powerful laser to activate professional grade bleaches to whiten teeth in the office rather than at home. After a professional cleaning that removes surface stains by our hygienist, the laser-activated and powerful bleaching agent whitens the enamel of your teeth. This allows patients to enjoy a whiter, brighter smile quickly and easily without having to deal with messy trays or expensive strips and pens that fail to provide noticeable results.
- Cosmetic DentistryDallas Laser Dentistry staff are hired not only for their skills but also for their commitment to enhancing the patient experience. They are a major reason the practice has received the Consumer’s Choice Award for Cosmetic Dentistry every year from 2011 to 2021, the only dental practice in Dallas/Fort Worth to achieve this level of customer service and business excellence recognition. Dr. Mary Swift and Dr. Morgan Petty have a great team that enjoys working together and coming to work – you’ll notice the difference along with their smiling faces!
- General DentistryOur general dentistry options are used to restore and maintain your oral health, and to provide a solid base upon which to add cosmetics, thus insuring your best return on your investment.
