Reviews
I have been ordering from Amico's for several years now and the service and pizza have been exceptional every time without exception. I only order delivery and have never been to the actual location but I can highly vouch for the delivery which is fast by courteous drivers and the pizza is always hot. My favorite is the Veggie Pizza, add Chicken which is great on the thin crust. Regardless, when it comes to great pizza delivered hot and quick, Amico's is the best in my book.
Must say I'm really surprised to see some of the reviews on here ! I have never experienced anything less than great pizza and super friendly service from Amico's. We ordered 3 different types of pizzas for a party last night and had them delivered and they were YUMMY, on time and gobbled down quickly. (And at half the price with our deal of the day coupon)
Food is good and the delivery is quick but the guy that answers the phone is rude and rushes you so don't get upset is all im sayin.
Just ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, paid $15 and it tastes like a bowl of spaghettos!! Gross. Stay away!!!
I love this place. The owner Steve and his wife are good people.
It doesnt have a lot of seating, but the food is good.
For under ten bucks you get a salad, garlic toast, pasta how you want it, and a main dish.
I love their veal parmesan, and the eggplant parmesan.
Steve has gone out of his way to make me happy several times.
He has had an order recooked, and has also delivered to my business.
I go here once a week. This is a regular stop for me.
I also like the Big Daddy pizza. And..btw, I am straight, and no one has ever been mean to me,
or not been nice to me. Good customer service all the way around.
I ordered from this place a few weeks ago in oaklawn and they have the worst servie and pizza ever! know wonder the campisis wuld not let this distant realtive use there name. The owner Steve came out and told me frankly he did not care what I thought and to get out of his place! do not go here! they have crappy pizza and crappy attitudes
if you aren't gay forget it. They make it a point to service the "Gay Community" not the neighborhood. If you are straight and want to be discriminated against go for it, otherwise call a chain.
I was excited and hopeful for once to use a usually annoying coupon left on the gate of my front porch. Great coupon offers and the Campsi name to boot!? Score!
We are usually loyal to I’ Fratteli’s; I have been a diehard fan for over 15yrs and my boyfriend for almost 1 year.
When I called I told them I had noticed the Campsi name. I asked if it was it similar to the Campsi’s or I’ Fratteli’s. “Yes, but better,” she replied.
After 45 minutes of anticipation, the pizzas arrived. The driver was pleasant and apologized for the wait. “No problem,” I replied as I was more excited to taste a pizza that had been boasted to be BETTER than Campsi’s and I’ Fratteli’s.
WHERE DO I START?
The cheese tasted like Silly Putty. Come on admit it, you tried Silly putty as a child.
The canned mushrooms were reminiscent of shoe leather. I noticed that one of our guests was pulling mushrooms off of one of his slices; he had requested the mushrooms.
The crust was nearly burnt on the edges and doughy in the middle.
The sauce tasted like a watered down jarred sauce.
We too threw out the “pizzas” without having second slices.
I ordered a small, thin crust, mushroom and artichoke pizza. What I got was a thick, doughy "pizza" with canned mushrooms (who does that anymore), sauce that tasted like ketchup, and artichokes. It was the worst pizza I have had in a long time. I took one bite and threw the entire "pizza" away. Luckily you get what you pay for and I wasn't out too much pizza dough!
