General Info
The American Airlines Center is one of the premier sports and entertainment venues in the United States. It supports Victory Park, which is spread over an area of more than 70 acres that is one of the largest environmental protection agencies in the United States. The center s seating bowl features a retractable seating system that reduces conversion time between hockey and basketball floor configurations. The American Airlines Center also maintains various fan shops that offer a selection of officially licensed merchandise, including T-shirts, cameras, polo shirts, baseball caps, vests, backpacks and luggage tags. Located in Dallas, the center organizes a range of educational and interactive tours, as well as offers catering services for guests.

Great for hockey, better for concerts. Saw U2 and Paul McCartney here. Great sound, strangely intimate for such a big place.
The best thing about this venue is its accessibility. It's not just one way in or out. There are more options so traffic is not such a bear on concert nights. Easy to get in and get out. And surprisingly enough, their parking prices are fairly decent. I've never had a great experience in the setting, though. Acoustics suck. Ticket prices suck. Beer prices suck. But, I have found that if you sit behind the stage in the Platinum club - then it gets good. I suppose the sports events are better there. But, still, I'd stick with the smaller venues for music.
