The driving force behind mama Lou’s fine confections are people interested in customer satisfaction. OUR story began in baton rouge. LA. Grandmother LOU worked AS a school dietician. SHE was always making Candy. Frozen cups (kool AID) or Dixie cups. Popcorn balls. And other sweets that were SO Delicious. That neighborhood Kids became addicted. This became especially evident during the holidays. When we found OUR grandmother working in the Kitchen long hours with pies and cakes stacked on the dining table. SHE was an OLD fashioned Baker WHO measured with the “CUP” of HER hand and always used the best. Fresh ingredients. AT church SHE was known AS the Candy lady. SHE would always Bring a sample of HER Candy to church and the Kids begged their parents to BUY. HER cakes. Teacakes. Pies and Candy often sold OUT before SHE could GET them OUT of the CAR. OUR grandmother. Better known AS mama LOU. Cooking and baking was HER passion and NO ONE DID it better.
