- Child SupportOne of the main causes for distress during a divorce that includes children is child support. Parents who do not have primary custody may want to provide for their child, but worry about the impact of large and financially crippling payments. While parents who have primary custody worry about whether or not they will be able to support the child at the appropriate level.
- Child Custody and VisitationThere are all types and shapes of Divorce filings from the less complicated divorces with no assets to split and no children or multimillion dollar, high-asset cases. Of course, any divorce has the potential to have complicated child custody issues.

- Spousal SupportContempt is most often found in instances relating to child support and visitation. In such cases the Court will likely require repayment of child support or re-establishment of visitation (barring a compelling reason otherwise). However, contempt can also apply to any provision Court’s Order, Consent Order, or Final Judgment and Decree. Just a few example of other instances in which contempt can be applied include alimony, exchange of property, payment of debts, or procurement of life insurance.

- Business DisputesWhen I returned to the US for second grade I lost those languages but now find it very easy to pick up languages when I travel. Maybe there is some process there I don’t grasp. In high school I worked at the Smithsonian Institution until I got a draft card and I enlisted in the USAF where I was a surgical technician and then and EMT in Gulfport Mississippi. I went to college at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Jr. College, Jefferson Davis Campus where I earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Applied Science. This is when I had my first Shovelhead Harley Davidson and started a life of motorcycling. Next I went to Millsap’s College in Jackson, MS and received a BS in Chemistry where of course (wait for it)...mu favorite course was Business Law so yes I applied to law school and was accepted.
- Workers CompensationOur experienced workers’ compensation Team at Allen Turner Law has several locations in the metro Atlanta area and they are ready to discuss the particular facts of your case and assess what your workers compensation case is really worth.
- Premises Liability
- Property DamageThe statute of limitations on a car accident is two (2) years for a personal injury lawsuit and four (4) years for property damage. These have no influence on an insurance claim, but it is better to start the insurance process as soon as you can in case you need to file a lawsuit later on. If the government was involved in any way then the incident claim needs to be filed with the correct agency, and quickly so that you don’t lose your right to compensation.

- BankruptcyCHAPTER 13 BANKRUPTCY is a (mostly) interest-free debt repayment plan through which you consolidate your debts and make a payment on your debt over a 3 to 5 year period to your court appointed trustee. While in a Chapter 13 debt repayment plan, the creditors cannot collect from you, and the creditors are required by a Federal Court order to adhere to the terms of the plan. One very important thing to remember about Chapter 13 bankruptcy is that you must be working or have a consistent source of income for your repayment plan to be confirmed by the court. Debts that are generally consolidated in a Chapter 13 bankruptcy are mortgage arrears, balances on vehicle loans, student loans, credit card debts and other unsecured debts. All outstanding debts are included in the Chapter 13 bankruptcy consolidation, unless otherwise determined by the attorney.
