Operational since 1988, Gulfside Regional Hospice is an independent, community-based nonprofit organization that provides medical treatments for individuals and families. It is a member of Florida Hospice and Palliative Care and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. The organization is certified by the state of Florida, Medicare and Medicaid. Gulfside Regional Hospice offers counseling, spiritual care and bereavement services. Its nursing services include assessment, pain and symptom management and medication adjustment. The organization s staff includes physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers and bereavement counselors. Its social services help patients in understanding and completing directives and utilizing insurance benefits. The organization also conducts a telephone assurance program. Gulfside Regional Hospice maintains one of its locations in Dade City, Fla.
