I stop in Midas because of the huge banner that says free brake check only to find out it's only free if they do the repair work. Which is not at free at all. I wouldn't mind getting the brake work done there but with sneaky tactics like that I would rather go elsewhere. They quoted me 300 for pads and shoes which is insane.

Though no additional work was performed, my wife was charged more than the estimate. We were told that shop fees had to be added. This was after receiving the estimate over the phone and when I informed him that I had a coupon, he said that the tax wasn't included (there went my coupon). When I questioned him a day later on the shop fees, he offered a free oil change.......I don't think that Midas will ever see another one of my 4 vehicles. Great work but someone is having a nice night out on the EXTRA money we ended up paying. GET YOUR ESTIMATE FAXED TO YOU BEFORE TELLING THME YOU HAVE A COUPON.
