Had to leave our 12 year old Golden for a week. We were concerned because of her age but felt more comfortable after talking with the staff. They seem to understand the needs of geriatric dogs. What also set them apart is the play program that is part of the fee. In the long run it ended up to be much less than most other places. Well, the proof was in her behavior when we picked her up. She was happy to see us but seemed so much perkier. In our previous experience, when we picked her up, we'd get a lot of 'complaining' then moping around like she was sick for a week. Not this time, we actually think she enjoyed it. It was a tad farther than other places we've used but well worth it.

Our dog had the best time at the Pet Resort. She has stayed there twice and we will be returning again. The facility is clean, out in the country, and has wooded play areas. The dogs spend a lot of time outside with other dogs playing. They come in for some quiet time and then spend more time outside playing. If your dog is accustomed to playing at dog parks then there is no doubt this is the place to be. Very professional employees who love the dogs like their own. In addition this place is very affordable and does not nickel and dime you with all the extras. All of the dogs enjoy outside playtime for no extra cost.
