Located in Cumberland, Md., Friends Aware is a nonprofit organization that provides residential, respite, transportation and training services to people with developmental disabilities. Its unit of residential services provides homes to individuals in need of living arrangements. Its residential options include group homes and alternative living units. The organization also promotes a variety of independent living skills, such as community involvement, cooking, personal health, safety skills and caring.
