  Premises liability generally refers to injuries that occur to victims as a result of unsafe conditions of another’s property. A property owner or occupant has a duty to maintain that property in a safe condition. The types of premises liability cases are almost limitless. They include accidents involving slip and falls, swimming pool accidents, broken glass, faulty store displays, negligent security, faulty home construction, and dog attacks – basically any injury that occurs on someone’s property as a result of an unsafe condition.

Personal injury is a branch of law that is designed to protect persons harmed by the careless or intentional acts of others. The personal injury legal system sets out the parameters for compensating victims who have been injured by such careless actions.
• Medical Malpractice
  Ms. Gajewski received a BA in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Michigan. After moving to California in 1978 she worked as a legal secretary/assistant for a prominent medical malpractice firm before attending law school. In 1986, she formed Gajewski & Baughan and has been assisting injured plaintiffs in Culver City and throughout California. She is known by defense counsel, judges and insurance companies for her litigation skills and tenacity, receiving outstanding results for her many loyal clients.   Nearly 2% of the American public is bitten by a dog every year. That’s millions of people every year and almost 800,000 of those are serious enough to require medical attention. Dog bites can result in serious scarring and deformity, even in death. The old law used to give the owner “one free bite.” Most states, including California, have replaced this ancient rule with modern dog bite statutes. An owner, as well as a keeper or harborer of a dog, may be liable not only for a dog’s bite, but also for other injuries caused by dogs. If you have been injured in a dog attack you may be entitled to the following: medical bills, wage loss, loss of earning capacity, pain and suffering, emotional distress and disfigurement.
• Slip and Fall Injury
  Slip and fall accidents occur virtually everywhere – in a supermarket or shopping mall; in an office building or on a sidewalk. Your slip and fall may have been caused by a defect in the floor in that it was uneven or it may be attributable to inadequate lighting or an obstruction to your ability to foresee an injury. One of the most common ways in which a slip and fall injury occurs is a fall in a grocery store. A supermarket has a duty to regularly inspect its floors for pools of water or objects fallen from shelves. Once a danger is spotted, the supermarket must fix the matter immediately and/or post warnings.
