  Upon completing his graduate degree, he was accepted into a three year podiatric medicine and surgery residency at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. This is a premier foot and ankle residency affiliated with the Michigan State University and Wayne State University. This training exposed him to advanced surgical treatments for reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle and ultimately led to his board certification by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

  While we care for any ailment of the foot from toenail to talus (the bone that attaches to the ankle), Dr. Fillinger has advanced training in the surgical treatment of the foot. Fortunately, most conditions do not require surgery to correct and simple methods can be used to get relief. But sometimes, like in the case of injury or congenital deformity or even deforming diseases like arthritis, surgical intervention provides the most significant and lasting relief.

  Dr. Eric Fillinger was raised in Southern Ohio and attended Cedarville University for his undergraduate degree. While there, he excelled in Cross-country and Track and earned All-American honors in both sports all four years. In his senior year, he sustained an injury to his foot which introduced him to the specialty of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery.
