AptarGroup is a group of companies that manufactures a range of convenience dispensing products and systems for the fragrance/cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical, household product and food industries. The company's growth strategy has three basic elements: geographic expansion, targeted market expansion and new product innovation. AptarGroup became an independent, publicly owned corporation as a result of a spin-off from Pittway Corporation in April of 1993 and is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the trading symbol ATR. Subsidiaries include Emsar Group, Pfeiffer, Seaquist Closures, Seaquist Perfect and Valois. AptarGroup maintains corporate headquarters in Crystal Lake, Ill.
