Established in 1915, L.P. Shanks Company is a wholesaler of grocery supplies. Based in Crossville, Tenn., the company initially started by distributing groceries to Mom and Pop country stores. It supplies products to retail outlets and convenience stores in central Tennessee. Some of its offerings include candies, chips and other grab-and-go food items. L.P. Shanks Company has associations with The American Wholesale Marketers Association (AWMA), Southern Association of Wholesale Distributors (SAWD) and National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS). In addition, the firm conducts foodservice programs, such as Java Gourmet Coffee, Stash Tea, Penguin Ice and Sub Express.
