I got to stop in for the first time recently and was amazed. For me it was almost spiritual. An old house converted to a restaurant with extremely pleasant staff. I watched the guests talking amongst each other. Families dressed in there Sunday best, an older gentleman with a WWII hat on shared stories that had me mesmerized. I describe the atmosphere because it was an overall experience, not just a visit to another restaurant. I ordered the meat and three not sure of portion sizes, but was brought a more than generous portion of everything! The meatloaf was perfection, but the corn bread stuffing was better than any of the stuffing I ever had. I missed out on dessert but only because there was so much food! The guests next me had dessert and I was practically drooling! The waitress was just as sweet with a full house, she always smiled and conversed with the guests as though they were her own family. The gentleman who I could only assume was the owner came out just to assist one of the elderly guests out! This is the way restaurants used to be. I will forever be a patron to this place.
PS they also make fresh fried pork skins that must be equally amazing because they were sold out!
