The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office protects more than 180,000 residents and tourists and offers a range of law enforcement services. It has various specialized units, including traffic, investigations, K-9, communications, marine and beach patrol, underwater investigation, warrants, judicial services, civil process, environmental enforcement and airport security. The sheriff s offices investigation division provides a variety of investigative services, including criminal and crime scene investigations, crimes against children, victims advocacy and crime analysis. It has a multiagency task force, Drug Task Force, which is used to identify, infiltrate and arrest individuals and criminal organizations involved in the sale and distribution of illegal and controlled substances. Additionally, it provides law enforcement and security services to the courthouses of Okaloosa County, Fla. The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is located in Crestview, Fla.
